I Seriously Don't Believe Massive Amounts of R's

will turn out for Romney. With the exception of the R Party Faithful, I don't see any enthusiasm. I see a lot of "voting for the lesser of two evils" and a lot of R's sort of looking down and shuffling their feet when asked about voting for Romney. I've seen almost no bumper stickers/signs for Romney and I live in a red area of CA (though not as red as some would believe). I've read here on DU about some fundamentalist sects doing a write-in for "Jesus." RimJob is even anti-Romney. Look, too many of the R's are extremists, either in religion or economics or both. Romeny's flip-flopped too many times for them and they just don't trust him. I just don't see this election as being NEARLY as close as the MSM would have us believe. I dunno. Just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth = $0.02.

I have yet to meet an enthusiastic Romney supporter. I knew a few Ron Paul people, but who is really fired up about R?

They may not like Rmoney, but that doesn't matter. Republicans are more reliable voters, to start with. Add the hatred for Obama, and you've got a big turnout for them.

But we've got enthusiasm on our side, too.

Alot of my Republican friends on FB don't like Romney. Their vote is against Obama. I've had long debates with them providing facts and whatever but they aren't swayed. I ended up loosing friends over this election. Their anger towards Obama is weird.

They'll say something like, "I really don't like Romney, but Obama's policies are wrecking the country." Even when I counter their BS with facts they come back with name calling. I think there are racial reasons when it gets to that point and unfortunately racism has increased from 50 to 54 percent since Obama took office.

I don't think alot of R's like Romney. The guy has been running for President for 7 years. I think Romney is their excuse to get Obama out.

Now how many of them are out there, I have no clue.

They've got an entire network of bible-thumping preachers screaming fire and brimstone from the pulpits, telling their fundie parishioners they'll go to Hell if they vote Democratic.

The fundies always come out, unfortunately.

The good news is that our GOTV ground game will still beat them!

registered republicans as friends. Both are voting today. Neither one would seriously consider voting for Romney. One likes President Obama quite a bit; the other wishes that President Obama would be much more forceful in exposing the anti-American republican party leaders' agenda. Both are voting for President Obama.

More, both assure me that a substantial number of republicans -- especially republican women -- will be voting for President Obama today.

One is a 40-something female, and I think she may be fed-up will all of the rape shit.

I was looking at a sample ballot last night, and noticed that they listed Slick Willard first, followed by the Libertarian, and the President. It was the same down ballot, too. It pissed me off at first, but this is a very red district. My hope is that all of the Mormon-hating fundies here, and the few moderate republicans left, will see the Libertarian and vote for him. I would rather they voted for President Obama, but that isn't going to happen. So, I'd rather they vote third party.

...in most polls and, except for crimson red states doesn't hit 50% in any of the key battleground states...never has. The only game plan the rushpublicans have is voter suppression...scare Democratic voters away with long lines and try to depress the numbers. It's the only way rushpublicans can win on a national level and it looks like that's not gonna happen. Willard's support is a mile wide and an inch thick...while there are some who can't wait to vote today, there's a large "soft middle" who may want to vote for Willard but sure won't hop on a church bus or wait in long lines to vote for him.

I don't mind the corporate media saying it's "too close to call"...hopefully that keeps our side fired up and motivated. I'd rather laugh later at a blowout than end up with that deep pit in my stomach (memories of 2004)...

Cheers...

This is deep t party, red neck, bible belt, hunting territory. A few Romney signs and bumper stickers here and there. But way not even close to the McCain/Palin signage of 4 yrs ago. Romney will win here, but I'll bet some 3rd party candidates (Johnson maybe?) will slice into the GOP totals. The know that Romney is a lieing POS, but they'll hold their nose to get that black guy out of the "white" house.

Outside of yard signs, there's next to nothing. Not signs long major arteries and very few, is any bumper stickers.

I think they will vote by not voting.
