Republicans don't ID their party in campaign ads

They hide behind false claims and hollow promises often sounding like Democrats and confusing voters including me.

I wish Democratic candidates would explicitly identify themselves by party to make it pellucidly clear—we’re the ones who are really working on behalf of the people. Also by identifying it would leave no doubt who the nonidentifiers are.

Many even have blue signs.

Perhaps the only thing tfg ever told the truth about: if people are allowed go vote, qpukes would never win.

Lie, cheat, steal, rinse, repeat...

I just know who she is. I think its because they are trying to get dems to vote for Betsy who also has no party on signs.

as republicans...ashamed I guess of what that party represents now. They're backing away from Dobbs like they've never heard of it, some even from lying trump and the insurrectionists and fake electors.

In my area in St Louis county most of the candidates of either party are not identifying which party they are for. Have to look at their flyers to see which party they represent.

and I noticed a lot of republican ads that not only don't ID their party, they often don't ID their candidate. Most of them are just anti Maggie Hassan without presenting their alternative. Of course, their alternative is Donald Bolduc, so no surprise there. Still it is very weird, they are running away from their party and a lot of their candidates!

A recent mailer calling itself a “La Mesa Democratic Voter Guide” distributed by Citizens For a Better East County included several candidates who are registered Republicans. A “Carlsbad Democratic Voter Guide” published by the same group also urged voters to cast their ballots for Republican candidates.
Becca Taylor, acting chair of the San Diego Democratic Party, said last week that she was disappointed to learn about the campaign mailers that align Republicans with her political party.

“By any standard, the mail pieces sent by this Republican (political action committee) are cynical, deceitful and insulting to voters’ intelligence,” she said by email. “As the PAC’s treasurer and only publicly listed officer, Councilmember Bill Baber is trying to perpetuate a fraud on voters — tricking Democrats into voting for Republicans.”

The county Democratic Party filed a complaint with the Fair Political Practices Commission and is calling for Baber to resign from the San Diego Ethics Commission.

“By his association with these disgusting campaign tactics, he does not deserve to hold a position of public trust responsible for enforcing political ethics laws,” Taylor said.

The party’s lawyer also sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding a retraction and public apology.

On Friday, Baber said his clients agreed to stop distributing the misleading political mailers. The treasurer did not respond to the request that he resign from the San Diego ethics panel.

Today in NC, Meadows and Cawthorn District. First day of early voting. No Meal Team 6 gun toters.
Easy in and out. All the little old ladies I have always seen at our poles.
One thing that bothered me, a group of 4-5 huddled near the entrance, one mentioned my Navy Ops Specialist Petty Officer 2nd class hat, offered to give me a list of candidates. No party affiliation visible on them and the list looked generic. Until I saw Budd’s name listed without Beasley’s. None of the candidates on the list were identified as repubs. And all were. When I saw the heading on the list I got it. It said “Save America” so I knew it was far right tactic to confuse some that just don’t know. So I said to them, “you are correct, I did serve in the Navy, I took an oath to defend the country from enemies outside, AND inside. I still honor that oath so take this list back and keep it away from me, thank you”.

Intentional. Hoping that something in the ad resonates with a potential Dem voter.

It's interesting these ads are sonsored by some obscure neutral sounding named group that one couldn't tell if it was Dem or Repug backed.
