(13,497 posts)like it! I met President Truman once when I was about seven years old. Oddly we went to the same dentist and thats where I met him. I dont think I realized as a small child in the mid sixties what a big deal it was to meet a President. All I remember is the dentist office was in downtown KC. I remember learning when I was older that they were in the military together.

(15,285 posts)IIRC, the reason the polls were "wrong" in 1948 is because Gallup or whoever was doing the polling stopped polling too soon.
