But I don't think the J6 committee would be doing this just for the hell of it. As you say, they have been masterful. Brilliant, really. For that reason, I trust that they know what they're doing.

I think they have a reason for this, and a plan as to what they mean to accomplish with it. It may not be apparent to us, but so what? We don't know a fraction of what they know, and we can only guess at what their strategy is.

These people are not stupid, and they're not naive idealists. I believe they know exactly what they're doing and why they're doing it.

is to get the facts about 1/6 on record for the American public and for history.

I think getting tfg on record would be a great thing to do to add to the facts about the day, even if only to have him on record taking the 5th. There is no mystery about this. Their goal is to get his response on record. Their strategy has never been a mystery.

But as long as it is just the Committee, it stops there. Without the DOJ chiming in, it is true that there will not be much impact other than to make it part of the public record.
