...not to mention those paid for by "think" tanks and billionaires. Our side needs more of that, to be honest. I've always wondered why labor unions aren't more proactive about setting up their own propaganda arms--something like what Media Matters does, but on a more grassroots level.

substantive policy issues and the corporate media above all else is most concerned with shaping the narrative; for that's the source of their power and wealth even as it has put the nation's democracy at risk.

The corporate media would prefer political debate to be the unclaimed love child of professional wrestling with its' timid, weak referees that never seem to be actually looking toward the direction of the infraction and the mindless drama of modern day soap operas.
