I didn't watch the Fetterman/Oz debate but I heard he did not-great. Please cast your minds back...

... to a guy who didn't (along with a genuinely kind and compassionate wife, Giselle) bust his ass to give a voice to the disadvantaged and non-powerful.

“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.”

Unfortunately debates change no one’s minds anymore. We had an idiot who talked about Washington storming the airports and couldn’t put two words together. Latest polls show Fetterman up by six.

I'm so glad to hear your point of view!

I think that if people like him ran the world, the world would be an amazing place. I literally couldn't be more pro-Fetterman--I think he and his incredible wife are the kind of people we should all aspire to be. They are truly exceptional.

So I'm glad that there may be more to his debate performance than met my after-the-fact eye. I also read that Oz stepped in a huge steaming pile of poo with his answer about abortion. I'm just saying... shit people have done okay by being difficult to understand, so I hope that a single debate performance by a genuinely good and decent person isn't all that big a deal. Especially because we know that it's a temporary thing with him, not whatever the hell was going on with Trump's sodden brain.

He doesn't need to take the floor.

And even if he decides that he's ready to do so, speaking from prepared remarks is a lot less of a high-wire act than speaking extemporaneously or giving interviews.

And, as he has done in the past, meeting with constituents is the major part of the job of a Senator.

"he did not great?"

Please, go with someone who can put together a literate sentence.

Oz said that abortion decisions should be left to women, their doctors and local politicians.

Now that's what I call "not great." It's not only not great, it's highly offensive.

And like an interview for a job a good interviewer has to look past any stammer and reflect on whether, or not, a candidate is the best person for the job based on their background.

We are going to have to trust Pennsylvanians to make the choice between:

(A) Oz a "clown in clown's clothing" elevated by HARPO Productions.

(B) Fetterman a person that has kept their promises and made their own way in the world.

GOTV!

because he said that local politicians should be in the examining room with a woman and her doctor. Tell me THAT isn't a fail??? Women will not tolerate that kind of thinking - period.

Moron would rather have "local politicians" decide what's best for a woman when the Supreme Court did that over 50 years ago. ROEvember will tell!

I was sure that would sink him but insanity and stupidity reigns here. F did not did do badly imo. He came across as a human being who thinks and who cares. When snake oil guy said he met with seniors worried about their social security F pointed out what a fraud he is over that.
