2. We pranked the bank's IT security manager one day...

We were the IT department, using Digital Equipment Corporation's VAX/VMS systems, which were top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art computers back then (late 80's). DEC came out with some new security features, and as System Managers we had full access to everything on every system, so we went onto one of the main development (vs. 'production') systems that we knew he used all the time and modified his account, just a little bit.

A few of the new features were password expiration times (I believe the default was 30 days), enforced password length, and a new option to force use of system-generated passwords, which were pronounceable gibberish 'words'.

We turned it all on for (only) his account, and the next time he logged in he was faced with a 10-minute expiration, 20-character, system generated password. This forced him to get a new system-generated password every time he logged in.

Needless to say, he wasn't thrilled with our newfound power...
