Abortion as "State's Rights" vs. Slavery as "State's Rights"....

When listening to politicians argue that abortion (restrictions, denial, etc.) are a matter of 'state's rights', and not the right of women to have control of their own bodies, I am reminded that a similar argument was heard in the 1860's, that it was 'state's rights' to determine the continuation of slavery(The brutal ownership and treatment of a people NOT white)...............
