I have a Tesla and have been following Musk for a while now.

I’ll say up front that I admire his engineering ability and his tendency to make unpopular, sometimes crazy, decisions that actually pay off in the end.

But he also can turn 180 degrees around in an instant if he sees a decision isn’t going to work. He has no qualms about discarding a previously heralded decisions.

He believes in science and data so I’m hoping that he quickly sees that an unmonitored Twitter is destructive to our Democratic values and makes changes that actually do increase discussion of true personal opinions instead of being a forum for political sniping and propaganda.

I will take a wait and see attitude instead of judging him based on what media is saying right now. He has proved naysayers wrong before and he may do it again.

He is not an engineer. His degree was a Bachelors in Physics. He bought in to Tesla after the company had hired Designers from Lotus. He’s a hype man and very possibly compromised.

I do applaud Tesla for popularizing electric cars. Had Martin and Mark not diligently pursued their inspiration, after the killing of the electric car in popular culture no less, we wouldn’t be as far along as we are today. So cheers to them.

is the design of the door on one of the models, and the proprietary charging port (which is not really the best design, but taken to ensure that only Tesla charging ports can be used by Teslas).

He has a talent for promotion and a good sense of investment, but his engineering ability is mediocre. Had he not had the staff he has, Tesla would not be what it is today.

I suggest you watch Some More News with Cody Johnston. His episode about Musk was pretty good.

Now. Anyone have any experience with them? It was pretty much the only option for internet where I live. Not really a fan of Elon Musk personally.

unless he’s ousted. The guys at Lucid know who invented Tesla cars… they did.

There will soon be a slew of competitors, and Musk is too busy playing with his phone to notice he’s getting passed up quickly. Hyundai/Kia/Genesis alone will steal a ton of Tesla’s business. GM soon as well.
