6. Tell me your placement of these two stories on the frontpage of a newspaper:

- A political assassination attempt on the person second-in-line to the presidency that leaves their husband seriously wounded and needing surgery after his skull was fractured

- "Inflation and Wages Continue to Climb Rapidly, in Bad News for the Fed"

Which do you think is worthy going "above the fold" and which is not? Which is the more important story? And then go and see where The New York Times decided to place the two if you want to see """MSM""" downplaying it.

Do you imagine they’re attempting to downplay the story as opposed to, say, putting it on A15?

...more important than an attempted political assassination of one of our nation's highest-ranking members of Congress and second in line to the presidency.

You asked for proof and you were given it.

We don't know what the motive was at this point. Maybe it was an assassination attempt, maybe the perp was a wack job who just wanted to yell at him/her or, maybe the perp had no specific motive and was acting on impulse.

Your cited article says this:

'Law enforcement officials have not provided a motive for the attack, but San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said in a news conference Friday that the attack was “intentional” and “not a random act.”'

Note the no provided motive part. So, how then does that article contradict what I said up-post??

From the source: The assailant repeated ly asked, “Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?” according to a law enforcement source. The assailant attempted to tie Pelosi up “until Nancy got home,” two sources familiar with the situation told CNN.

The suspect had posted memes and conspiracy theories on Facebook about Covid-19 vaccines, the 2020 election and the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

“It was intentional” i.e., a targeted attack not random, said Police.

nothing to do with motive eg. assassination or harassment or intimidation or something else, even if whatever it was was intentional.
