his machine was "off", as in where he indicated he needed to vote was askew and it would not register because the machine had to be touched "just so". So 4 or 5 people have already voted and he is still standing there, trying to push the right spot on the voting screen, he kept calling over and asking for help.
I was starting to get ANGRY. I know he was frustrated. It was frustrating seeing it.
Finally an election judge came over and helped him through the WHOLE BALLOT, and he was satisfied with everything. I know because I checked.
And I will KEEP checking too

(1,372 posts)I was directed to the booth and the attendant was behind the machine so I stood there.
this little lady came around and looked surprised that I was there.
She held the curtain and I walked in
I pressed a button and got no confirmation that it had registered
So I look out the curtain and told her I had a problem
She reached to the top of the machine and pushed a red button that lit the thing up.
If that's her only job I wouuld think that she could at least do taht right.
Second, where was an observer to identify that this woman was not trained properly
and couldn't remember two stupid rules
1) don't make the voter wait
2) turn on the stupid machine!
This shouldn't be so hard to do!
For info:
I am white and 60 years old
the attendant was black and late 60s
You would think that she would be eager to get my vote for Obama!
