If violent rhetoric from these users result in deaths, Musk will be held liable for allowing a platform for such hate and violence.

Musk $27B

Investment Funds including Larry Ellison $1B, Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund $1.9B, Qatar Holdings... totaling $5.2B

Banks $12B

So... the Saudis are indeed the 2nd largest investor if you don't count the Banks.

So put it in perspective, the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund owns less than 5% of Twitter.

This isn't surprising as the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund also is a major share holder in Amazon, Google, Paypal, JP Morgan Chase, Meta, Zoom and many more.

Want to spend all day reading about gardening on Twitter? Then you'll see ONLY gardening.

Twitter doesn't force feed MAGAT content to accounts that follow gardeners, garden centers and such topics.

If you see MAGAT content... it's because you consume volatile political content.

https://democraticunderground.com/100217294467

Short:
In life, PULL WORKS, PUSH DOESN'T

Life is like a rope. Pushing on a rope moves nothing but a short piece of rope.
That is like arguing with idiots. The best you can do is "run up some numbers".

By associating with like-minded and GOOD people, you can have some influence in order to make things better.
That would include (hopefully) friends, family, work colleagues, fellow hobbyists and so on.
Unlike the binary "It's you or me" world of Twitter, YOU STAND A CHANCE of making positive change.

IMO, Musk is impulsive, reckless and unconcerned about consequences of his decisions and actions.

Users are reporting him to Twitter for posting misinformation.

It's far better that he do this than that he be able to hide what he is and deceive a few billion usefully confusable people about what he's up to.

How many of the LW/Democratic markets targeted by CNN and MSNBC would watch if their programs were deceiving half this blatantly? Subversion of viewer attitudes and beliefs requires disguising disinformation and feeding it with what viewers do believe and come for. Maintaining credibility and trust are critical.

Fwiw, unlike Twitter (so far), there's no way to respond directly to a CNN lie as we watch, neither right then verbally, nor by reporting it to CNN as disinformation to be blocked.
