Hey! Good morning, folks. I wanted to take a second to just talk about this Pelosi assassination attempt. Because that’s how you should phrase it. It was an assassination attempt. Skip all the Republican projection, and propaganda, and weirdness, and lies that it was a gay tryst gone wrong. That’s some whopper sized projection from a lot of these people.
Um…and look at… as the reality of the case, this was an assassination attempt. This guy was motivated by a climate and a culture and an ecosystem and a structure of agitprop and media manipulation of weak-minded people in this country. Because that’s really the target audience for Fox, and for Bannon, and for Alex Jones and for this giant accretion of far-right, MAGA-right ecosystems that feed these people a steady diet of conspiracy theories, of insane falsehoods, of manipulation, of information that any rational person would look at for thirty seconds, including you, Elon, referencing the Santa Monica Observer, which has previously told us that Hillary Clinton was dead.
But this ecosystem feeds people with weak minds. It feeds people who are mentally unstable. And look, it looks like this guy may have had some serious mental health issues. It looks like he’s a crazy person. But you know what? Crazy people go on the internet too. Crazy people watch cable TV too. Crazy people are fed this propaganda also. Throughout history a lot of assassinations have been mentally ill people, who were motivated and manipulated by much smarter people.
Steve Bannon knows what he’s doing. Alex Jones knows what he’s doing. Rupert Murdoch and Lachlan Murdoch know what they’re doing. The people at Facebook know what’s happening on their platform. And now Elon seems to be celebrating what’s happening on this platform.
Folks, election’s in nine days. If you don’t take it seriously now, I don’t know what I can tell you. Get on it! Get out and vote. Thanks.
