(55,140 posts)Too much a thinking man's media star. We need to fund a dumb person's media star to reach low life.

(29,634 posts)I couldn't bear watching his coverage of Hillary in 2008 and just stopped watching him. Now he wants to atone?

(71,542 posts)did too...he was taken off of MSNBC because he supported a Democrat with money...same thing Joe Scarborough did but nothing happened to him. I love Keith.

(29,634 posts)There was a whole pack of broadcasters on MSNBC they called "The MSNBC Boys' Club". They were very hard on Hillary Clinton, and very unfair. The coverage was slanted.
I also got tired of Keith Olbermann's overhyped 'Special Reports' or whatever he called them, but that's a different issue. He was too hard on Hillary and there was a bleedover from 2008 to 2016, and so anything he does is too little, too late. It cost the country, and Democrats, dearly. I don't even necessarily disagree with him on ideological grounds for the most part, but his bias towards Obama was unprofessional.

(10,578 posts)They found the most insane reasons for accusing her of doing something wrong.
In Olbermann's case I believe they were called "Special Comments."
After Hillary lost in 2016 it started up again, but this time it never stopped. For the first few years after the 2016 election it was like we were trapped in those 5 days between Iowa and New Hampshire in 2008.

(29,634 posts)He acted as if he were Edward R. Murrow. He practically had on a pork pie hat and a pencil tucked behind his ear.
There's a reason he times out on every job he has, and it's his ego. As I said, I don't necessarily disagree with him on ideological grounds. It's how he presents.
