Woman must wear sign for 2 hours "Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/woman-drove-sidewalk-wear-idiot-sign-17650037

A woman caught on camera driving on a sidewalk to avoid a Cleveland school bus that was unloading children will have to stand at an intersection wearing a sign warning about idiots.

Court records show a Cleveland Municipal Court judge on Monday ordered 32-year-old Shena Hardin to stand at an intersection for two days next week. She will have to wear a sign saying: "Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."

The judge ordered her to wear the sign from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. both days.

Hardin's license was suspended for 30 days and she was ordered to pay $250 in court costs.

She could hang a business card size using 8 point type around her neck (although, I'm sure that would piss the judge off even more).

all jurisdictions have statutes that give specific punishments for specific infractions...

if 'wearing a sign' isn't listed as a possible punishment, then it shouldn't be allowed.

Nov 2012

At least you're using it in reference to someone who actually ISN'T entitled to this special privilege.

So, this isn't a sense of entitlement, it's a misplaced sense of privilege. The right wing has hijacked the term entitlement, because if it is an entitlement, one is TRULY entitled to it.

But, a misplaced sense of privilege is in inidcative of someone who believes they are owed something they aren't.

I was complimenting you for at least using the hijacked term in a way that wasn't perjorative. While i wouldn't have used the word at all, at least you meant it in a way that wasn't made to intentionally obfuscate.
