The suspect told informants about his plans to blow up the IRS, destroy Facebooks HQ, detonate a pipe bomb at a child support office due to an argument over processing fees, and carry out a copycat attack modeled on the 2017 mass shooting at a Las Vegas country music concert.

An anti-government extremist in Ohio built homemade machine guns, stockpiled silencers and bomb-making materials, and acquired a rifle-mounted grenade launcherwhich he later said he received in a trade along with some primo cocaineas part of a scheme to kill as many government officials as possible before police killed him, according to a criminal complaint obtained first by The Daily Beast.
Sandusky resident Aron McKillips, 29, was arrested Tuesday by members of a task force from the FBIs Cleveland Division. He is a well-known member of the Boogaloo Bois, a loosely affiliated militia group seeking to overthrow the government by touching off a second Civil War, states the complaint, which was unsealed Tuesday in Toledo federal court. McKillips is charged with unlawful possession of a machine gun and interstate communication of threats.
Investigators say McKillips spoke often to other members, some of whom turned out to be federal informants, about his violent plansincluding his desire to blow up the IRS, destroy Facebook headquarters, and carry out a copycat attack modeled on the deadly 2017 mass shooting at a Las Vegas country music concert. More prosaically, McKillips talked about detonating a pipe bomb at a local child support office last year over processing fees, the complaint states.
This shit started out being a fucking way to kill feds, McKillips allegedly said in an audio recording posted to a Signal chat room last year in which he talked about burning down federal buildings and shooting federal agents.
Thats what we were about, McKillips continued, according to the complaint. The main fucking beginning was kill feds, kill police, kill government officials. Kill them. Murder them. Unalive them. Delete them. Get rid of them. And then it became were gonna do this peaceful. Fuck that.

Watch the interviews with people attending those.
They are incited by these Republicans and their lies.

The machine gun charge alone should get him ten years.

(26,507 posts)People like this are all around us. I only hope that we can stop and prevent such people from unleashing any of their insane scheme's before others get hurt or killed.
I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that this guy was stopped.

(21,010 posts)If they had to call one white guy with an arsenal out to destroy property and murder as many as possible a "terrorist", then they'd have to do it to all the white, guys with arsenals that are out to destroy property and murder many people.
And we just can't have that now, can we.
However, if this was a black man, or a brown man, or a red man, or a yellow man, then we'd rush to label him a terrorist with no questions asked.

(1,690 posts)If he supported say a Marxist/Leninist philosophy you bet hed be called a terrorist. The question is how far left you have to be a white terrorist. A more accurate point would be that he isnt far enough right to be a white terrorist. Given where this guy appears to be on that right wing spectrum Id say that there cant be white right wing terrorist.

(22,591 posts)But there are lots of terrible, abusive men who know how to hide that side of themselves early in a relationship. Up to a point, anyway. There are always red flags, if a woman knows how to recognize them, but a lot don't.
Reproducing can make it lot a harder for a woman to leave a relationship, and a lot of these men know that.

(11,767 posts)Anything to distract from the main problem, that he has like many other angry White men, latched on to the violent right wing rhetoric that is flooded throughout the internet and pushed by mainstream right wingers at Fox News and on right wing radio all over the country.
Many in right wing media are not explicitly saying "burn down Federal buildings", or "kill Feds". They are simply saying that the government is tyrannical, that the FBI is explicitly going after White men and Conservatives, and that "Your entire way of life is being threatened by 'the Elites' in Washington". They leave it to those angriest and most brainwashed to close the loop and take action.
Then the right wingers in media say, "Violence is not the answer BUT... why would someone do something like that...?" and launch into another screed about how the government is tyranny and targeting White men, etc....

(82,849 posts)Why, "kill feds, kill police" could mean almost anything! We shouldn't jump to any conclusions, because we don't know what was in this poor fellow's heart. Maybe he just likes Hawai'ian shirts.

(2,504 posts)Point out the law that existed in 1791 that would ban possession of them. Cannon were privately held at the time. Thanks to Thomas and his Bruen opinion, its no longer a stretch for a court to find that grenade launchers are protected now.
