General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWith regard to the midterms a few days away, it seems to me there are two schools of thought
One group works to GOTV, donate, and present a positive message
The other is obsessed with polls, and negativity.
I prefer the first group, which actually does something to try to impact the election in our favor, as opposed to the "sky is falling" group, which has very little value

(14,022 posts)Doom and gloom doesnt help anything. Im not saying we should stick our heads in the sand but we need positivity right now. Plenty of time for negativity after the midterms (if things dont go our way).

As you said, there will be plenty of time to analyze things after the election

That's moronic.
Seriously, what is the point of this OP? Nevermind. Clearly your point is to divide and say, "If you don't respond the same way I do you're a bad Democrat."
Fuck that nonsense.
JohnSJ
(92,351 posts)accusing me of trying to divide people and say they are "bad Democrats" if they don't do as I said
I NEVER SAID ANYTHING OF THE SORT
We are SEVEN days away from the election. What will doom and gloom messaging accomplish?
Scrivener7
(50,990 posts)purpose other than to insult your fellow Democrats because their emotional approach to the election is different from yours.

but if you believe that I am trying to divide people, then alert on my OP, and let's see if it gets hidden
I won't hold it against you if it does

(31,856 posts)As you know - I'm a Democratic Committee Member. In a red dot. In a blue state.
I love to see that kudos. It takes time from our families, our careers, our hobbies - to engage at that level.
I'll be texting tonight while watching the Biden speech.

(5,104 posts)My mother (now of memory) lived in her district. As a lifelong passionate Democrat it chafed at her to have a Republican Congressperson.
She and like minded people worked to get Katie Porter, despite the odds.
I don't think Katie Porter is going anywhere. She's done too well in the House.

Still accept the analysis of experts that this will be a tough election to win.
And you?
