Miami Herald: DeSantis paid to bring migrants into Florida before he paid to deport them

The Florida Center for Government Accountability has received documents from several sources that reveal a plan between Florida's former attorney general, now the state's "public safety czar" and the CEO of the aviation company that flew migrants from Texas to Crestview, FL, and on to Martha's Vineyard. Both men and other officials were also aboard the plane.

It appears the plan was an attempt to "wriggle" around the state's requirements that taxpayer funds can export migrants from Florida but not from another state. That's why the plane stopped for a half-hour in Crestview, Fl.

The Center for Government Accountability is awaiting more documents that may provide more details. The Herald reports that $1.56-million was paid in advance for three migrant relocation flights, but only one has been completed. Thus, it has cost $32,000 per person for the flights, hotels, ground transportation and other costs.

I should think this would attract the attention from the law enforcement types at either the state or federal level.

'Florida Taxpayers Paid to Bring Migrants Into Florida, then DeSantis Had Florida Taxpayers Pay to Deport Them!'
I know its a bit wordy that way, but taxpayers should be aware of who paid for that stunt that was designed to boost his political campaign.

Good on the source for covering it, but this needs to be covered on TV all over Florida.

National news might make a dent, but local is where it has to happen.

That said, I'd love for states that took in these migrants to send Florida a bill for the short-term care of them.

... them to Florida and then onto Martha's Vineyard as part of an unneeded stunt using human beings
as props in his kabuki theater to show "his base" how he was fighting those illegals. I hope ALL the Hispanics
in Florida are paying attention. But he didn't have the time to warn the people of Lee County that the
hurricane was coming right for them.
