Desantis is doing his best to rewrite history.

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis received a fact-check on an outlandish claim about United States history that he made at his only debate with Democratic challenger Charlie Crist.

You have people that are teaching — and actually his running mate has said this in the past — that teaching the United States was built on stolen land," DeSantis said. "That is inappropriate for our schools; it's not true."

Have mercy on the next generation of kids to come out of Florida public schools. They will be dumb as a bucket of rocks. Just the way, republicans like them.

Reality is shaped by beliefs, feelings and lies that further the goals of the power structure.

Territory, he would have claimed, like his mentor the Great Devil Trump about the last election, that it was stolen from us.

Of course, we technically didn't steal it from the Natives. The Spanish did. We just sent "illegal aliens" into Spanish Florida until we had so many there, the American there were being harassed by the Seminoles whose land they were stealing. So we sent American troops under Jackson to stop the Seminoles and occupy Spanish Territory. But, hey, that wasn't stealing. Only an intelligent person would call it stealing and nobody has accused De Satanist of being one of "those" types.

land by the people already living there because they were just so in awe of Ponce de León's obvious superiority.

Same thing happened with Columbus.

All the people already inhabiting all these newly discovered places simply bowed down to the unquestionable superiority of the Europeans and happily said, "Here! Take everything! Including my life! Or I can always be your slave!".

Then everyone had turkey and dressing, with jellied cranberry sauce from the can, and fresh apple pie, hot from the oven.

Afterward, everyone watched Herschel Walker play football in-between writing checks for abortions.

American history - you gotta love it!

This whole "woke" bullshit is a product of their design. We won't get anywhere until we start calling out the sources of their bullshit.
