One candidate's father was not born in America
He came here and got on welfare even scarier
His religion is different not Christian like the tradition
Plus he went to Harvard for law and business now listen
This might shock you so I'm gonna say it calmly
That candidates name is Mitt Romney
But out of his own mouth he was first to mention it
Nobody ever asked to see his birth certificate
Now is this just coincidence?
Or is because of what the color of his pigment is
Is this a incident of benefit
Cause of the skin he's in he automatically a citizen
Even though his father was a Mexican immigrant
Who was once a part of those 47 percentages
A lesson to the ignorant this place that we're living in
Your race can be a privilege, point blank period
Now go vote

(36,437 posts)DJ from Cleveland State? His vote counts just as much as Rush Limbaugh's or Mitt Romney's. Some in the Republican party can't accept that. It's why people like Chris Christie and Lindsey Graham are really going to go after the conservative extremists after this election: they know that Obama changed the voting culture, and that they're increasingly at risk if folks like this organize and vote.
The ironic and almost delicious thing is that this is also Karl Rove's legacy. He engineered the greatest disenfranchisement campaign in modern American history in 2004, and the GOP is going to be suffering the effects of that for many cycles.

(32,723 posts)People say, "How did that happen?" and it turns out they held the election in an off year in spring and it didn't get any media play except on local Right Wing Hate Radio.
There are also city council members who are Republican but don't declare their party and use blue on their campaign posters.

(46,240 posts)They know people will come in with absentee ballots, because OH rules allow voters to bring in ballots on the election day into board of elections. And yet they lock the doors?
Good for voters to not take no for answer, but that shouldn't have happened at all.

(8,554 posts)and the methods that sleazebag groups like True the Vote have used to attempt to disenfranchise the poor, minorities, the working class of our country are so incredibly intolerant, it clearly exposes them as the racist, bigoted bastards that they are. We have long-standing voter's rights laws that were enacted to prevent things like door-locking or intimidation of any sort at our polling places so any and all attempts to discourage voters MUST be acted on!

In any case, how many Repukes are trolling around here to see if the atmosphere is to their liking, in view of signing up?

(56 posts)It's someone that locked the wrong door; people could still, *gasp*, walk around the building to the front. The horror!
Plus Jesse Jackson was there for the event! Are we living in fantasyland?
If this is held up as "voter suppression" be prepared to be ignored when real voter suppression actually happens. Crying wolf is not helpful.
I'm sorry but this is very irritating. Stop finding a conspiracy where none exists. Save your outrage for the truth.

(30,121 posts)In other parts of the video you can see everyone going in to vote earlier in the day. If the front doors are locked do you really think people will think the back doors are open?
But I know what you are saying. Practically every time I go to the grocery store someone accidentally locks all the front doors.

We need that in a big way.
No more money ruling our elections.
It's supposed to be a government by WE THE PEOPLE, not them, the corporations!
