Maybe they don't know that, since they are only a bunch of experienced federal prosecutors.

Fri Nov 4, 2022, 04:36 PM

Mr. trump when asked to return said information why didn't you return all information ? Mr. trump did you not in you're own words admit to taking classified information even top secret information ? Was this information found in your possession in your private desk and office ? Do you have any remaining classified material in your possession ? Have you shared this information with others or sold this information to anyone ? Any yes answers to these questions should be enough to find him guilty and send him to prison. Then they can work on the other dozens of crimes.

I'll send my resume Monday. Qualification not much but my desire to follow the rule of law and stop rich and powerful criminals from escaping consequences will be my ace in the hole.

Once/if there are results, they can stop saying that. In the meantime it relieves the cognitive dissonance experienced by people who believe "nobody is above the law" when they are faced with the very public, longstanding, and comeuppance-free criminality of TFG.

DOJ is presenting evidence to a grand jury. That means most of the investigation stuff is over--if they can get that...thing to stop criming long enough for them to get an indictment.

But, somehow, that...thing keeps criming, and so they have to do that investigation, and then queue that up to present to the grand jury once they've finished with the OLD stuff they were presenting.

Most of the delay now is because there's an entire mountain of criminality to present to the grand jury, but grand juries don't meet every day. Some of them might meet once every two weeks. Most meet once a month.

You do realize that...right?

in what charges, if any, DOJ seeks to bring against Trump.

I think its safe to say that even the least experienced of the many DOJ lawyers working on the various Trump-related investigations knows a boatload more that any member of DU when it comes to the relevant statutory provisions, the relevant case law, and the facts available to both the prosecution and defense.

The "its a slam dunk" mentality of some posters is as naive as Donald Rumsfeld's assessment of the Iraq War.
