I think it has more to due with him talking too long. I think they like listening to him, but even someone you like listening to can become boring if they talk for too long. I have heard that he speaks for more than an hour.

I think I might stop listening to President Obama if he spoke for longer than an hour. However, it must be hard to listen to someone like Trump for more than an hour when the whole hour has been filled with nonsense. At least with President Obama you get a coherent speech for an hour.
