the reflexive urge is to reduce stress--get my serotonin hit. Sugar is the drug of the masses, I guess and I'm only semi-effective in fighting it.

Worse, here's my irony. I've gone back to podcasts--specifically, all those I've not listened to dating back to COVID at its worse (NPR's "This American Life" among others to listen to the past several days). Now, how stressed must I be that listening to stories of life during the peak of COVID (which I too lived through at its worse) is less stressful than the discussion (and counting) of the midterm elections? Seriously!
