I've been following the cross examination of Oath Keeper Stewart Rhodes on twitter.

By the time this is over (probably not today) there is just going to be a wet puddle where he used to be.
Brutal.

The maximum penalty for seditious conspiracy is 20 years. Rhodes is 57. Even assuming he is convicted and sentenced to the maximum (a very uncertain assumption) he could easily outlive his sentence.

I'm hoping Daily Kos or someone else is keeping a running commentary on Elmer's cross-examination.

Question: "You and the Oath Keepers were prepared to take steps to abolish this govt if it didn't [go how you wanted]"

Rhodes: "We were prepared to take steps, were we prepared to walk the founders path? Yes. I still hope that conflict can be avoided but..."

This guy's going to prison.

Only way he isn't convicted is if there is a traitor on the jury.
