(149,525 posts)But I try not to be.
Tomorrow will be a mix of wonderful and horrible results, no doubt.
We must stay calm and carry on, as the Brits say. This is no time to be distracted or so upset we can't think.
We are not without resources!

(201 posts)I have been nervous and out of sorts all day. Already voted and worried about tomorrow.
I tell myself, however it goes is not the end of the world, even though it may feel like it.

(51,308 posts)Yet people keep posting his rally crap here and chortling about it.
Theres nothing funny about these idiots.
Just remember though--there's still more of us, than there is of them.
but there are too many bombs. People are slowly waking up to the fact that while they've been willing to do his bidding, it's a one way street and he's not prepared to do a damned thing for them.
The proof is the lack of pardons for Oaf Keepers, 3% ers, and other gansgs of violent idiots. He had time to pardon them. He just couldn't have been less interested in doing so. Peasants aren't important.

A lot of them actually see themselves this way and are proud of it.

(4,104 posts)Even if we do well tomorrow, we are in a long term fight for our country. This is as crucial a time as the Civil War. Zealots and fanatics dont easily give up and neither do we.

(21,341 posts)or houses where I am. Don't know why because I know that there are some around town.
But all this past week there has been a middle aged guy riding a bicycle around the parking lot of a shopping center near me with a large flag attached to his bike. Half is the US flag and the other half is the Gadsden flag.
I voted last Thursday. My regular polling site is just 3 blocks away from home. I think I will walk past it tomorrow to see how it looks, whether there is a line and how long.

(12,640 posts)The majority of MAGAT/White Nationalist types will not travel to cause trouble unless it's to an organized event where they feel they have strength in numbers. See the amount that would show up "to fight Antifa" or "Support the Right", but as soon as they start facing opposition, they break down and run.
Most Q or MAGA are frankly lazy middle class. They're basically comfortable and at a certain level, know that if they can't just bully an opponent to leave or quit, they risk getting hurt or arrested and that's just too much. They depend on 'lone wolf heros' to fight for their idiotology and to root for. Asking them to stand and fight if they're not already part of a mob is not gonna happen.
The ones post election that I am most concerned are police or sheriffs twisting the law and their 'jobs' to target those they consider liberal or Democratic enemies. The swaggering Big Fish in Small Ponds type. And, of course, the few 'troubled' young men with no future to begin with who are willing to listen to poison just to make some sort of name for themselves.
