Ohio man fatally shoots neighbor because he thought he was a Democrat___His father is in the backyard and he is not breathing, the son says.
The suspect, just walked back on to his property, he tells the dispatcher.
According to the son, the neighbor has come over multiple times making statements. Hes insane.
The victims wife tells the dispatcher they were cutting grass and working in the yard when she came inside to let the dog out. Thats when she said she heard gunshots.
I look in the backyard and that man is walking away from my husband and my husband is on the ground, the woman says He has come over like four times confronting my husband because he thought he was a Democrat, Why, why Please, I dont understand.

It is all so very hard to understand.

(31,308 posts)in fact the article states that the murder was prompted by a "suspected political affiliation." Readers wouldn't even know that it was because the killer is a RWNJ if it wasn't for the direct quote by the wife included in the story.

(1,204 posts)This is the "well-organized militia"?
plimsoll
(1,690 posts)If it is the well organized militia we must expect more of this. The GOP has been tolerating eliminationist rhetoric against liberals, democrats, LGBTQ people/non-Christians for the past 2 decades. This may be the moment they realize that the verbal threats aren't working anymore and they'll have to start following through.
The offer you can't refuse needs an example of what refusal looks like.
Otto_Harper
(822 posts)when they learn that their targets of elimination are neither as passive as they expect, and may well be better equipped, both in hardware and training to deal with them, as needed. For some, it may be their last great surprise.

(1,690 posts)Most people look pretty crappy in them. I suspect that's why most white collar criminals are allowed to turn themselves in and part of Rudy's ploy for the perp walk. If the police get a chance to cuff and push them into a patrol car their going to look disheveled and probably a little dangerous. A good lawyer will get this guy a suit, and a non-edgy haircut and he'll be just fine looking.

(191 posts)and for wearing my Rachel Maddow t-shirt. We no longer put up political signs, wouldn't dare put bumper stickers on our car, and I am careful where I carry that tote and wear that t-shirt. We also drive with the assumption that the *sshole drivers are Rep. and packing. One of my husband's former work associates was arrested for brandishing a gun during a road rage incident more than two decades ago. People around here were nuts long before the Trump/MAGA madness.
These nuts are totally willing to shoot their perceived enemies.

Editing to add the following:
In case any readers are unaware, you can purchase a surety bond for 10% of the full bond set by the judge -- meaning if Mr. Combs can come up with $95K, he's out of jail. All it would take is for some far-right website or talk radio show to establish a GoFundMe for this "patriot" and that sum would be raised in no time.
AGAIN: WTF is the judge thinking?!
