(5,058 posts)You couldn't publish any articles or news about a candidate even if it reveals a legitimate fact of a candidate. I don't know the exact details but I guess you can't talk about any specific candidate but that there is an election upcoming.

(5,058 posts)No nasty arguing on "news shows". It gives you a few days to just dig deep and think about the issues by yourselves and the people around you without the influence of media and talking heads.

(40,969 posts)We never have down time anymore. As soon as tomorrow hits, it will be election 2024 non-stop. Two fucking years of election talk & campaigning. The midterms aren't quite so bad since they usually wait until January after the election before kicking off the campaign season, but that's still one year & 10 months. It's too much.
If you're a rep, you never stop campaigning & raising money. The senators at least have some breathing room.
