I did my civic duty today. Pleasant experience chatting with the locals. An old friend said shed bake me some cookies, shes an awesome baker. Im 68 and I was close to the youngest in the hall including poll workers.
Im down to one issue. Not the economy, not the price of gas, not abortion. I look for an (R) next to a candidates name then vote against that person. I also voted against the confusingly worded constitutional amendments that (Rs) were advancing. Cant vote for members of the crime family who daily spit on my military service while calling themselves patriots. Oath keepers my ancient ass.

She should easily win.

Following the rule of law and will of the people, versus people having a cult-like devotion to authoritarian figures who aren't bound by the rule of law.
It might seem broad, it might seem over-simplistic, but that's really the one issue that is more at stake than any other lesser issues.

(90,388 posts)Im that kind of single-issue voter, too.
I have one rule: I dont vote for a Republican. I cant vote for a Republican. Because Republicans want to take away MY right to own and govern My body. And even though Im too old to get pregnant, a womans right to choose is an absolute for me.

(24,151 posts)United, libertarians taking over the SC, Russians taking over the Repuglicon party - that would be perfect.
In the meantime, I agree anti-(R) works.

(933 posts)That is my one issue as well. Maybe if the people with an 'r' after their name behave as civilized people are supposed to AND put forth some good ideas to help the country and its people, then maybe I will give some thought to voting for them. Not before.

(13,061 posts)At this point, any Republican either wants to end the democratic republic or at least empowers the end of the republic.
I could no more vote for a Republic than I could for an avowed fascist.
