Remember in 2018 when we had significant gains in the House, but Van decided early on that it was just a blue ripple--we ended up gaining 40 seats, but it wasn't apparent until a couple days later, but by then "the narrative" was already established to our detriment. Unfortunately I had to cancel my calls last week bc my phone is so overloaded w screengrabs & photos (have a transfer problem to SDcard). I couldn't upload Zoom which is what they were doing. Started to be able to transfer Sun after getting new instructions. Then it stopped again.

So I finally got in touch w Dem GOTV yesterday. Said I really wanted to do something ! Could I call w/o Zoom. Said they'd figure it out

I got the set up this mornjng and went ahead. 👍
Talked to WISC, NH, GA.

Seems a bunch of Mountain & West Coast States do only.Mail In. I'll check.
Then I'll drop in soon after 7PM to take a peek. If done calling - I'll stay. 👍

Young people have the numbers to pass anything they want, but unless they exercise that power, all will be lost for them.

Tue Nov 8, 2022, 08:21 PM
Nov 2022

I posted something about how our early vote was looking in various states and FL was one of the ones we were doing terrible in. I don't want to say it, but FL looks to be a lost cause nowadays. This is one reason you have to fight Republicans tooth and nail, because once you let them gain control over your government, they will do everything legally (and sometimes illegally...) to retain that power.

I didn't want to be a downer and depress anyone's vote so I didn't say anything before the election, but from my GOTV efforts with that state in the past, it just seems to be a wasted effort. It may seem strange now that a perennial swing state could be turning more into a Republican-leaning state, but that's just how that state has gone and we have many other exciting opportunities to swing traditionally red states into our favor (AZ, GA, soon NC, maybe even TX eventually, etc.).
