We Have Not Lost The House Just Yet

I have a new respect for Kornacki. Other than the gerrymandered districts in Fla. and Tenn. Dems are holding their own.

Bring it home Dems.

Boebert is going down.

They flipped 5 seats so far. We need to start flipping some seat (many chances like NY22, etc) to counter those 5 gains.

But until some of those races are actually called, we are already down 5 which is what republicans needed to flip the House.

a super good day for the president party. Some of the talking heads and republicans were saying they are going to win 40-60 seats. They are nowhere near that. We kept many of the seats they were going after and thought they would win. But since we only had a 9 seats advantage coming in, it's extremely hard for us to keep the House.

It’s looking better and better!

Don’t get me started on the senate, either! It seems like we are still in the game in Wisconsin and Fettrman is close to winning PA. If this is happens, then the runoff in Georgia will decide not the 50th or 51st but the 52nd! (Assuming Nevada goes well)

It took a solid democratic district in Nashville and stretched it out to rural Tennessee where a democrat couldn't win.

The US has generated more wealth and innovation than any polity in human history. Most of our population carries around the equivalent of The Library of Congress in our pockets. All of our representatives should be like Katie Porter.

Seeing her winning tonight, as well as our local candidates here in Costa Mesa, is just awe inspiring. We'd been such a Republucan hub for decades. Can't envision the OC GOP reassessing their strategy. All they do is wait for costs to go up, do nothing and wait for voters to put them in charge. It's not working here tonight - so far.

Newsom isn't winning by much. But he didn't campaign for himself at all.

Most of the vote still outstanding is expected to be Democratic.

Even the NYT website is projecting her to win, where their forecast has been very bearish on most Democrats' chances tonight right up until they are declared a winner: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/11/08/us/elections/results-california-us-house-district-47.html

It tightened early yesterday and has since grown incrementally. In the past 6 years these numbers tend to grow for the person ahead day by day. Good sign for District 47.
