When we learned of his stroke, our hearts sank, but my husband and I agreed that we'd rather have stroke survivor John Fetterman in the Senate than the healthiest Mehmet Oz nature could provide. It's hard for nonPA dems to understand the depths of despair we experienced when he had his stroke.

But he defeated Oz and Trump, and persuaded doubtful and disheartened voters, all while working his intensive rehab program. He's going to be a great Senator.

I felt bad donating ZERO to Josh, because he's awesome, but I really felt I needed to push more to John. The election results from last night make me feel as good as humanly possible. 16. Fetterman's courage and compassion won

It took guts to stand up to Republican’ rekentless below-the-belt attacks. Fetterman stood his ground and prevailed. He will be a fantastic senator!

We never knew how serious his physical situation because it was a "gentlemen's agreement" that kept it a secret and because handicapped people were considered ill fit for office (I guess). We are doing no less for the differently abled people with Fetterman.

30. Fetterman made a lot of Pennsylvanians very proud

The man won in the midst of a serious health event, ran with his every county, every vote strategy to keep the rural/republican vote trimmed and tossed in a good measure of humor along the way.

The Oz campaign thought they'd seriously wounded Fetterman after the debate, and then aimed their guns on his health, his halting speech patterns. It backfired. Voters were pissed that a doctor would mock a stroke survivor, an unpopular, distrusted doctor at that. It backfired so badly that the debate line repeated endlessly was from Oz himself, the line regarding abortion 'between a woman, her doctor and local politician.'

That line was a genuine gift from the gods.

John Fetterman was the better man and ran a better campaign. He did it by being himself, a native son who went out there leading with his heart and soul.

The State of Pennsylvania is lucky to have him!
