I can't stand Kornacki

On the Morning Joe he framed the house race:
- The republicans could win up to 5 seat majority
- The democrats could “ steal” 5 seats for a 4 seat majority

What an asshole and dog whistle to the Maga Moron

In past elections, using the term "could steal" might be dismissed as standard terminology.

In 2022, after what we have witnessed over the past 6 years, using the world "steal" when talking about Democrats is an agenda.

Has he used the term "Democrat Party" yet?

I'm sorry but punching down on homeless people is something I find DEEPLY offensive and incredibly F'ed up.
I can't believe I'm reading this on a site dedicated to Democrats.

The only reason to bat an eye at such language is that we have a significant population of deranged republicans looking for any excuse to delegitimize the country. But they're the assholes. Not Kornacki, who probably should have known better but is also probably on fumes from his work well through the late night and early morning.

It's a figure of speech. My buddy called John Mellencamp a "poor man's Bruce Springsteen" which is unfair to John because he's a great artist and Bruce would be the first to say so. I would add John King is really good at his craft

... the word "steal" has taken on shady meaning, in recent years. Interesting how Democrats "steal" and Republicans "win." I would suggest "take" - or even "grab" if you want a more colorful word - to Mr. Kornacki.

Steve Kornacki does a job that no other hosts on MSNBC want to do. I give him credit because it takes a lot of study and analysis, and he doesn't usually get much airtime. Except during the elections and that's when he gets the spotlight. He can only use the word "flip" so many times, and then he has to say it another way. "Steal" is a synonym for "flip," and he says it quick enough that most people fail to notice. I don't think we should read so much into it.

You don't like the guy? Well OK, it does get a little tedious listening to him for more than about 5 minutes.

He constantly gives hypotheticals showing the path that both sides have to achieve control. Anyone who followed msnbc coverage of the election throughout the night will realize that your statement is completely uninformed.
