(7,434 posts)or Trump will have more tools to muddy the waters. Of course, Garland reads the news and knows what's at stake. But like all human beings, Garland could guess wrong and make a decision that could be fatal for democracy.
Again, it seems as if all of the prosecutions are being held back until the dam breaks. Fulton County might break the dam. Manhattan DA might break the dam. The DC Justice system might break the dam. And the DOJ might break the dam. Once the dam breaks, prosecutions will flood the political plain, IMO. There's just too much pressure to hold back.
Once again, the worm against Trump will turn with the first indictment. Trump's chances for any political comeback will die with the first indictment. We've been waiting for well over a year. Enough.
Just A Box Of Rain
(5,104 posts)is convinced that justice demands that Donald J Trump be indicted. He is clearly a criminal and an insurrectionist who poses an ongoing danger to the republic.
There is also a hyper-partisan corner of my mind that thinks that TFG being the face of the Republican Party in 2024 would ensure a Biden re-election and a big Democratic year all around.
Trump is toxic and electoral-poison.
