In Minnesota, the DFL Party (Democratic) Swept Away the Republicans

We won every statewide elective office and gained control of both legislative houses. It's a SWEEP!

Is that a big deal? Yes, it is. Now, the way is clear to accomplish some very serious goals we have not been able to accomplish recently.

It is a very big deal, indeed!

Thanks go to Minnesota voters. They rejected the Republicans' nasty negative ads and voted for Democrats. Republicans lost the control they had of our state Senate.

Huzzah!

We prevailed. For the first time in quite a while, we have all three elements of state government on our side.

An excellent result.

I was a little worried about Ellison on account of all that law-and-order bullshit and racist undertones, but he finally made it - Schultz would have been a disaster. And we definitely need a Secretary of State who isn't an election-suppressor like Crockett. I preferred Dimick for county attorney because of her experience but I'm OK with Moriarty - they were both Democrats so it would have been a win either way. The elections nationally went a lot better than I had feared - there were some disappointments (Ron Johnson again? Really, Wisconsin? and Vance), but some big wins, especially Fetterman and Shapiro in PA. All in all a pretty decent showing. Democracy isn't dead yet - and we live to fight another day, as the saying goes.

The overall results were far better than my expectations, really.

I had to take some time away from DU, because of all the doom and gloom being posted. Now that the election is over, I can return.

People were checking out the facts. Relying too much on the media. Or so-called media.
