Call me cynical, but I wonder if the red wave had materialized, would they have been letting the public know about this apology? I think this was deliberate planning in case the MAGA way did not deliver.

(4,616 posts)Since he sent it to Pelosi it wasn't really his choice if it was made public or not.

(7,286 posts)I'm not interested in googling it. I'm pleased he was pressured in some way (whatever it took) to apologize.

(5,127 posts)I dont think is a coincidence that following, what appears to be rejection of MAGA lunacy, you start putting this in the bloodstream to normalize Youngkin. I dont put anything pass them.

You're right, it's too hard to keep track of most of the crap that spews from them.

(1,506 posts)attack, Youngkin said from the stage that "we're going to send Nancy back to be with him." Big laugh from the crowd. Ha ha ha.
He's no moderate, but media portrayal of him as such helped him win Virginia. Yes, I know Terry McAuliffe was not a great candidate, but Youngkin was treated with kid gloves.
He's a very conservative, extremely wealthy Christian fundamentalist.
About a year ago, I read an article about him by Diana Butler Bass entitled "Wolf in Fleece Clothing". It was published Oct. 28. 2021 on dianabutlerbass.substack.com.
She's a progressive Christian historian and advocate.
Article is highly informative. Talks about time the Youngkins spent in England when he was co-ceo of the Carlyle Group and direction his religious beliefs took.
