Who are the most brilliant/inspiring young politicians in the Democratic party?
As we await the final breakdown of the vote by age group, very curious to see how well the 18-40 age group did.
We need people like Pete Buttigieg and............and..........and...........etc to inspire and bring more young people into the mix. The work has to start now while we still can. Edit: I was just interested in young politicians. I love Pete, I think he's brilliant and is not polarizing like others who are a lot older than him.

8. A new one to watch is Becca Balint, the new VT congressman elect
She is incredibly impressive, both during the campaign and as a legislative leader.
Obvious choices include Mayor Pete, Governor elect Shapiro, Katie Porter, Elissa Slotkin, Mike Scherrill. There were so many impressive young congress people on the impeachment committee. With many, only time will tell if their intelligence, talent, ability to have a vision and work out steps to make it real. |

11. Buttigieg, Ocasio-Cortez, and O'Rourke and
all seem to posses idealism, conviction, education, and though I hate to say it (but it's a political tool since the 70's), appealing on-camera charisma.
Looking at the long game, I think each one will become particular and positive faces for the party in years to come. |

14. Katie Porter popped into my mind first.
I looked her up, and she is 48. But between her energy and the fact that she went to law school, clerked, and had a Legal and then academic law career, I think she counts. She put in so many preparatory years!
