Democrats may have finally won the WA-3 mirage...

It's been a Republican seat since 2010. Democrats have imagined it was vulnerable with the right candidate for years, and every election they came up short. But this year, the Republican (Jaime Herrera Beutler) lost the Republican Primary to Joe Kent after voting to Impeach Trump after Jan 6. As of this evening, the Democrat is winning by 11,000 votes (65% counted).

Possibly, but the Republican candidate was a Trump-endorsed extremist, in a moderate district. HeartachesNhangovers Nov 2022 #2

Many local Republicans publicly endorsed the Dem candidate - Marie Gluesenkamp Perez. Ms Perez positioned herself - and seems to genuinely be - a moderate.

I don't know if this is a watershed event - indicating a swing towards the Dems - or the predictable result of having a hard-right Republican candidate with limited local appeal.
