(133,085 posts)group or get the posts from the greater federation. It is more European than Twitter but that will change as I follow some groups or people rather than others. I can't quite get the search to work. Don't know what I am doing wrong. It renders a lot like Twitter... that feels the same. But your feed has to be built up over time for it to match Twitter for journalists and groups and meme creators. So it is a work in progress. I wanted to give them money and for the life of me I could not figure it out. All in all it depends very much on how many tweeters move there and how quickly they make themselves known. I like it but would like the search function to work. Maybe it is just that anything I have searched for is not on Mastodon. If that is the case it should tell me my search came up empty.

(38,818 posts)but are not because of the challenges called out with other friends with disabilities. Two I am aware of are the complexity/learning curve which is a challenge for at least some with ADD/ADHD, and blind friends have indicated the layout is not screen-reader friendly so they can't access content.
If you search for Mastadon and accessibility you'll find descriptions of more than I am aware of - since I haven't done much looking.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
