To any Ukrainians out there in cyberspace...

A lot of us here in the USA did what we could to prevent a pro-Putin Republican takeover of our government. We understand all too well that making donations, making phone calls, writing letters and postcards, putting out signs, knocking on doors, driving people to and working at the polls, talking to friends and family to urge them to vote for Democrats are nothing compared to the battles you've been waging. But when each of us did our little part, we felt you walking shoulder to shoulder with us. We fought for ourselves, but we also fought for you, and for the rest of the world. The election results are far from perfect, but they're a lot better than many people expected. They indicate that the USA will not abandon you in your hours of need after all. Thank you for fighting so hard against the forces of authoritarianism and fascism and evil itself. You inspire us every day.

enough votes to keep the much needed support flowing.

It is the one part of his agenda that I'm hopeful he can advance if the House (as it seems likely) goes Republican. I hope I'm not wrong about that.

Chaos and obstruction are clearly in the cards.

I know we did better than expected, but...

They might read the tea leaves and more firmly side with the good guys now. And hopefully Putin and Russia are damaged enough that some R's will not want to be associated with losers and will distance themselves like they will with Trump. Also, I don't think those rubles are flowing very freely to their coffers these days.

he's continued to make videos throughout the war. You can also support him financially from youtube if so inclined.

Life goes on even in war. I have so much respect for the Ukrainian people. Fuck putin; even though he can sow so much destruction I believe that on an elemental level, he will never conquer Ukraine. He will never make Ukrainians Russians (except those who were already on that train).

for your heartfelt words to them. I wanted you to know that you can reach Ukrainians online. Maybe not all of them, thanks to this misbegotten war, but many.
