Lancaster County sends two Democrats to the State House

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Lancaster County is sending two Democrats to the State House of Representatives for the first time in decades: incumbent Mike Sturla and Izzy Smith-Wade-El, who is making history of his own.

Smith-Wade-El is the first black and LGBTQ person elected to the State House of Representatives in Lancaster County.

“It feels good. And I want to be careful about that. Because there is an adage in the African American community that we need to be twice as good,” Smith-Wade-El said.

Smith-Wade-El has been a fixture in local politics. From city council and now to Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives; He will advocate for the 49th district.

Before they did so, however, there was a red circle over Pueblo County (as I recall, anyway) on the right-hand map at this link:

Also, not sure how my claim has changed.

as their remaining-vote estimate. I don't know if they were referring to ballots sent to registered Repubs that hadn't been counted yet, or ballots from outside the city limits of Pueblo that may be more "red" that hadn't been counted yet. I thought it was weird that the circle was red too, considering it's a weakly-blue county that trended Frisch.

TEAM - LISTEN UP: Boebert may eclipse Adam for a bit today. Probably around 400-500 votes.

However, do not fret. His numbers will overtake her again once Pueblo starts reporting today.

DO NOT PANIC. HOLD FIRM.

Adam will win. But it will take some time.
