and screamed about a red wave for weeks because of that. All of those polls have proven to be B.S. Ari just did a scathing report on both Real Clear Politics and the idiot talking heads who just repeated the lies. He showed clips of all kinds of CNN journalists happily serving as mouthpiece for RCP.
Has CNN covered this or are they just pretending it didn't happen? I think I know the answer, but since I stopped watching I can't be sure.

(14,794 posts)they've always tried to appear unbiased, but that mask had already slipped significantly. This should relegate them to the trash heap of bad data, but our media treats even bad polls like catnip.

But no more.
I will no longer use RCP as a definitive source for polling and poll aggregates. I think this election proved that even their polling aggregation is just as biased as their news and opinion sections.
So long, RCP!

(10,438 posts)However, even after all his scandals came out and more reputable websites dropped him, RCP continued to push his propaganda stories. I marked it off as them just posting all sorts of silly shit since they just sort of seem to be a """news""" aggregator of some sort as well, so I just stopped paying attention to the """news""" stories that they were pushing and just used them as (what I mistakenly thought) was a trusted poll aggregator.
But, like I said, no more.

Yeah, I should have seen the writing on the wall well before now. Oh well. Lesson learned.

I have been criticized here for reporting that most polls were rigged. Then the rigged polls skewered the results of the poll of polls.
Polls are used for propaganda and then pundits read from teleprompters what their right wing domestic oligarchs tell them to read.
People believe a fence is a wall because pundits keep repeating it.

(4,463 posts)The owners loved the partisan polls being added to the aggregate to give them the midterm horse race and sweet, sweet ad revenues they so desperately craved. Additionally, they and their high-paid, bobble-headed anchors hoped their Republican friends and allies sweeping into office would reward them with another round of hefty tax breaks.
They weren't taken in; they were in on the take.
