There was tons of talk about chaos and violence before and during election day. However, besides some random, sporadic nutjobs, all seemed very quiet. I would never consider ourselves out of the woods when it comes to political violence and the current Republican Party, but so far not much of a peep really. Unless you are seeing something I'm not, there doesn't seem to be much indication that anything has actually been brewing for quite some time. Maybe the FBI is keeping that stuff in check again under Biden? Fingers crossed, we are returning to normal, run of the mill America where elections are more dull and tedious, not Brownshirt thug pounding on your front door frightening

(31,305 posts)Wonder what the Republicans will do to get their voters excited for 2024? Pro-Life? Inflation? Pro-Putin? Pro-Trump? Not a whole lot of things to energize the base.

(675 posts)And he was wondering why the FBI is moving so slow on Trump and the MAGAs. But what if they aren't? The white supremacists seem to have largely vanished from the streets. Republicans aren't attempting any obvious fuckery with the election itself. Trump seems to be neutered. What if the FBI has been quietly chipping away at this criminal cabal?
