(13,913 posts)Our POTUS delivers as usual 🇺🇸👏

(53,550 posts)of my lifetime! I remember an old slogan from 2008 when Biden was running in the presidential primary, "Joe is right". It came from the many times his opponents said during debates, "Joe is right" and his campaign turned it into a campaign slogan.
It took awhile, but it is finally sinking in!

(7,303 posts)Just before our caucus in 2020, he came through my small town, and I was able to shake his hand and tell him I caucused for him in 2008. He flashed that million dollar smile, and I got a great selfie with him then. One of the highlights of my life!

(53,550 posts)What a thrill that must have been. I know a few people who met him in person and they all were taken by how warm and authentic he was. Some of us have said if Joe could meet every voter in person, he could win almost all, if not all, of them over. He is truly a rare gem in politics.

(20,982 posts)Situations he has had to face requires careful knowledge and words to express disdain, the truth, as well as to get people to think. TDFG can call him "Sleepy Joe". But sleepy? I think not.

(13,913 posts)They all know where the US stands & have much greater respect for him as the leader of the greatest nation on earth & as a man with integrity.
He commands their respect. This is what a POTUS needs to embody.
Adding to mention of course thats stark contrast to the buffoonish TFG who was the laughingstock of the world & embarrassed us deeply.

(32,767 posts)Damn right President Biden has been the best president in my lifetime. Putin even delayed retreating from Kherson to hurt Democrat's chances in the election.
I said the day that Putin invaded Ukraine, one of the main reasons was to damage president Biden and Democrats. President Biden kept our allies and NATO united. President Biden is the reason that the Magats are in a frenzy.
It cannot be said enough, all that President Biden has done in just 2 years.
Even with the MSM criticizing him at every step.

(13,340 posts)Unfortunately though, Putin & the MAGAs will be back. Theyre like cockroaches.
FoxNewsSucks
(11,919 posts)his days might hopefully be numbered.
The MAGAts, on the other hand, are not going anywhere. Republicon election cheating kept us from giving them the total asskicking they deserve, but they are not defeated.
As always, the billionaires, Kochs etc will examine "how did that happen" and work to make sure we can't do it again.
None of us, elected Democrats in particular, can afford to relax. It's high time to take the fight to them instead of just being defensive.

In gerrymandered districts, we can't change the district but we CAN change the people's perception of us and our values and policies

(10,486 posts)they would cause Dems not to call out election fraud, even if we had some evidence of it. Dems already believed so strongly that questioning the results of elections after winners were declared was dangerous that we didn't fight as hard as we should have in at least one very important race.
Just as I know the fact that Rs are accusing Dems of stealing elections means Rs are at least trying to steal elections.

(2,952 posts)or would be if I believed a word of it.
Hard to imagine how interested any of them (Putin included) would be in her if bloated tick was fully endorsing Russia having free rein in Ukraine.
So I guess it's possible she'd be free just because the bloated tick would give Putin everything he wanted anyway.

(2,273 posts)Most people, most of the time, will feel an allegiance to a fundamentally decent person, especially when that person is comfortable in his or her own skin and seems genuine.
Unfortunately, there will always be a part of the population that cleaves to ugly personalities because that ugliness resonates with something inside them. There are a lot more of those people than I would ever have guessed prior to the MAGA movement -- but, thank God, they're a minority.
