The Nevada Senate Race

Surprised nothing here, so I Googled it. The Google machine said that Cortez Masto is only 862 votes behind with 95% precincts reporting.

I went to bed but it appears that the same day drop off ballots are falling for Masto. Is this not fantastic news? Are there more rural precincts to report? I mean IMO just from Googling, doesn't this look good for Masto?

Also, if she wins won't this dry up money for Walker?

and under 10k votes from rural. She would have taken the lead if the Washoe votes yesterday didn't fall below to about 55/45 (it was 60+ for the Washoe batch before that). She should easily win when votes are all counted by end of today.

GQP still want a 50/50 in the Senate, although the Democrats will have control since VP Harris is the tie breaker.

viability

Also, we can’t assume anything about Nevada until all the votes are counted, and if we should be so fortunate to win the Senate race in Nevada, it is even more important to do everything we can to see Warnock wins. These are 6 year terms, and not only does it help with our agenda for the next two years, but also means that those seats stay in our control in 2024

but I am hearing that Trump's big donors are drying up. Trump would never put his own money for someone else.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Trump is a proven loser, big donors are not going to pump money to Walker to bolster Trump's ego.

reduced on the back of them having already lost the Senate. Democrats have already shown the ability to manage a 50-50 Senate.

When Kornacki accidentally blurted out, no further updates until late tomorrow, even though 1 county gave 50% of what it was going to, I hit the hay.

Today should be a great day again!

Counting continues, and there are some provisionals and some "cured" ballots to count that could take it into next week.

But if this next batch released today go the way things have been, Ms Mastro will be leading by the end of today (Saturday).

And with Trump's ranting, raving, and further dividing the party, his hand-picked candidate will have a difficult time pulling it off. Shades of Trump's GA "fiasco" of two years ago.

I think her chances are very good. I believe most of the remaining votes are from a Democrat leaning district. One good vote drop could end it. Just like Arizona.

The Republicans might have come out for Walker if it meant control of the Senate. If CCM wins Nevada that motivation won’t be there.
They know he’s a loser, and I don’t see them throwing more money at a loser that doesn’t change the outcome.

First, if we've captured the Senate with Nevada, we may face our own issues in motivating donors and turnout in Georgia. And the Republicans need to score a victory and will push very hard to unseat Warnock. I think the impact of our winning Nevada may be essentially a wash. It will come down, just as it did in 2020, to turning out the vote for the run off.
