Y'all do realize what it means if we take the Senate and cut the Republicans win in the House, right

In the eyes of Republicans, it means that America has gone socialist!

Seriously, we need to use the next two years to push wise programs that will prove our case that America needs social programs to make sure that Americans can survive these tumultuous times and provide a healthy workforce for the private sector, which in turn, ensures a healthy consumer base for capitalism.

It is, essentially, a sign that the country, for now, is open to left-leaning solutions to the current problems we face.

And, yes, we could have used two more Dem Senators. But if we have one more to work with, it gives us some leverage against Joe Manchin and Sinema.

BTW, how the Republicans will court Sinema will be something interesting to watch. She is their only ace up their sleeve in stopping popular Dem measures.

It is not a sign the country is open to more left leaning solutions. The House will be close to 50/50 no matter who controls it. So will the Senate. Republicans received the most votes for the House 51.8% - 46.6%.

And I wish it were true. But I'm not sure how losing by a little less than many predicted is a mandate for drastic change.

To be honest, I think the only thing really keeping us where we are is that the MAGAT wing of the party has drug the Republicans into a crazy place the average American doesn't want to go. We need to continue to show them that we are the adults in the room and continue a slow and steady progress towards change.
