(50,524 posts)There are people in the GOP who know all the shit Trump has done over the years. They're keeping quiet because Republicans still obey Ronald Reagan's Eleventh Commandment - thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican. If Trump decides to "burn the party down to the ground," that commandment is going to go by the wayside. It might come out on the talk shows that Trump was the biggest employer of illegal immigrants in America before he decided to run for president, or that he never pays his bills, or some of the other things his followers will not like.
And then the DNC will announce their new slogan for 2024: "We're Not Fucking Nuts Over Here."

(68,454 posts)thought they were trying to drive the Democratic voter numbers down. I think the GOP polls were deliberately misleading and 538 and RCP need to kick them out of their aggregate polls. I took much abuse because of my opinion. I would go so far as some sneered at me here...my own son laughed in my face when I told him I thought we had a chance to take the Senate and the House. I sincerely hope we get the House but it will be close no matter what. I think we take the Senate... no red wave. And as some have noted, I think Trump is finished.
