Ron Johnson: 'My feeling is that Joe Biden is highly compromised' by China

By David Edwards
Published November 13, 2022

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said on Sunday that he has a "feeling" that President Joe Biden is "compromised" by China.

Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Johnson about his expectations for an upcoming meeting between Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

"It's hard to say," Johnson said. "We'll get some kind of readout from it. But again, I just — my feeling is that Joe Biden is highly compromised."

China has been busy buying Trump properties since the election and has granted Trump a long-sought series of trademarks in the country—just days after Trump reversed his position on Taiwan.

Biden is severely hampering China’s semiconductor industry:

Biden is also keeping Trump’s sanctions in place.
Finally, Biden is standing up to China when it concerns Taiwan.

How a Tycoon Linked to Chinese Intelligence Became a Darling of Trump Republicans

Donald Trump became the Republican Presidential front-runner that summer, and Guo’s instincts proved well suited to the emerging era; he had already joined Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s club in Palm Beach, and he wasn’t shy about praising his own business acumen (“I’m a genius at making money!”). He boasted of expensive tastes: handmade Louis Vuitton shoes, a rare variety of tea that he reportedly declared was worth a million dollars a kilo. Even before he was introduced to Steve Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist, Bannon had heard enough about Guo to pronounce him “the Donald Trump of Beijing.” (Years later, when federal agents went looking for Bannon in connection with an allegedly fraudulent scheme to raise money for a wall on the Mexican border, they found him aboard Guo’s yacht, in Long Island Sound.)

At the Sherry, though, Guo rapidly developed a reputation for peculiar habits. He seemed obsessed with the risk of intruders; he tried to block the fire exit in his penthouse, and residents complained that he stationed bodyguards in the lobby. In March, 2015, a spate of reports in the Chinese press offered an explanation for his anxiety: Guo—whom the reports referred to by his Mandarin name, Guo Wengui—was at the center of a burgeoning scandal involving corruption and espionage.

For nearly a decade, he had maintained a secret partnership with one of China’s most powerful spymasters, an intelligence officer named Ma Jian, who had recently been arrested by his own government. Caixin, a Chinese investigative news organization, reported that Ma and Guo had used surveillance, blackmail, and political influence to amass fortunes and evade scrutiny.

Biden tried to do things peacefully when he was part of the Senate.

Ad he got into the Presidency AFTER tRUMP had spent years with his face in dictator's butts, Biden had to take a tough stand.

AND Biden has ZERO ties to Chinese money.

HE IS WORKING WITH CHINA ON CLIMATE CHANGE.

WOW. How unusual for a President of a First World Nation to work with the country with the highest population to try and cut emissions and transition to solar and wind power.

BUT Faux Knews is trying to spin this as a bad thing. REALLY?

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/green-group-influencing-biden-admin-deep-ties-chinese-government

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a major U.S. green group that has influenced Biden administration policymaking, has deep ties to the Chinese government.

The NRDC, a non-profit organization based in New York City with total assets exceeding $450 million, has worked on climate issues extensively in China since the mid-1990s and several of its top officials have worked for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or government-sponsored institutions.

The NRDC maintains a close working relationship with President Biden's administration. The NRDC's former president, Gina McCarthy, served as Biden's climate czar up from January 2021 until earlier this month. Current president, Manish Bapna, has attended at least two White House meetings, visitor logs reviewed by Fox News Digital show.

The NRDC regularly communicates with Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry's office on policy issues, according to internal State Department emails obtained by the watchdog group Protect the Public's Trust and shared with Fox News Digital.

On its website, the NRDC highlights its collaboration with a "wide range of Chinese and international partners" to boost green policies and "fortify" environmental regulations in the country.

https://www.usip.org/publications/2022/09/misreading-biden-beijing-perception-everything-us-china-relations

Indeed, Beijing read initial statements by Biden administration officials as indicating a significant hardening of Washington’s policy toward Taipei. Chinese policymakers and analysts fixated on the term “rock solid,” used on January 23, 2021 by State Department Spokesperson Ned Price to describe the US commitment to Taiwan. They misidentified the statement as the first time the phrase “rock solid” was used (National Security Council spokesperson Emily Horne utilized the term on January 20), interpreting it as evidence that Biden administration aimed to deepen the U.S.-Taiwan relationship.

Yet, this was the opposite of what the new administration was intending to signal, which was reassurance that U.S. policy toward Taiwan had not changed. U.S. policymakers did not give the same emphasis to the January 23 statement and described the January 20 use of the term as an “articulation of U.S. policy,” with the Biden administration’s Taiwan policy being viewed as being one of continuity.
