I have one mature gum tree and no other trees on a city lot-and-a-half, and it’s completely manageable.

But we’re talking a massive amounts of leaves. My front yard takes 20 minutes to mow and an hour to mow up the leaves. I have exactly zero trees in my front yard. I filled up a trash can last week. I will fill a trash can a week for months and have at least 30 giant trash bags at the end. These are shredded leaves some double shredded. A lot of leaves.

I don’t miss the days when I raked nearly an acre onto a tarp and pulled piles of leaves into the woods. Repeatedly.

to rake and empty them into to compost and smother weeds? Been there and know it's aggravating, but could you design a permanent solution to this chore into your property?

We're now with a property much too big to rake and don't have a nice lawn to baby, just a variety of self-sown "greens" we mow where it's flat enough, but the mower-shredded leaves that the mower and the autumn winds don't blow off into the woods to compost and protect the hillsides stay to protect and feed the lawn areas.

Enjoy being out.

I’ve listened to talk radio for years. They tell you exactly what’s coming and repetition is very informative- the more they talk about it the less it’s anything real.
