Elizabeth Warren frames it simply for media:

“Ivory-tower economists and out-of-touch pundits warned Joe Biden to go slow and small. But he didn’t listen. Under his leadership, Democrats delivered significant progress for working people. And he presided over the best midterms for the party in the White House in 20 years.”

If elections of representatives and presidents were devoted to serving democracy instead of special interests, we'd have won it all, already long ago!

Some of it is the design (like the Electoral College boosting rural areas) and some if it (most of it?) is gerrymandering and voter-suppression laws. If it was a LEVEL playing field, there'd be absolutely no contest. But Republicans have no use for democracy, so every time they get their hands on the levers of power somewhere, they try to tilt it in their favor just a bit more, each and every time. They were so confident in their hacking of the system this time around, they ran utterly unqualified, extreme (or even batshit) candidates. Utter disregard for the America of their forefathers.

I saw someone's tweet somewhere say something like, "The party that always complains about voter suppression just won the mid-terms, so maybe they're not as suppressed as they think." Just 'cuz you're running uphill doesn't mean you can't overcome and win. And of course, the House may yet be a loss for us. But what a dumb statement; it reeks of superficial, this-sounds-legit conservative "analysis."

Leaders we have. President Biden, go big or go home!

Nancy and Chuck, both brilliant leaders who accomplished so muc.

If Republicans do take control they have to know only extreme gerrymandering, right out in the open cheating gave them a few extra seats. Ohio was the worst.

There will be another day.
