She has never been very engaged in U.S. politics until now because of the national nightmare that is TFG, and she is just absolutely horrified, shocked and apoplectc 24/7 at the fact that there are no consequences for TFG and his enablers and all the corruption that oozed from his administration. She and her family lived through Hitler and Stalin, and she keeps asking me, "Has it always been this bad in America?" I tell her no, but it's been absolutely horrible since TFG. I keep hoping (along with her) for an announcement of indictment from Garland.
My friend was actually afraid to vote because of DeSantis' election police, and I had to reassure her every step of the way. Without my encouragement neither she nor her family members would have voted. But she DID vote and is ready to switch her party affiliation from R to D.
It is such an embarrassment after all this time that it appears our great nation is actually afraid of this obnoxious con-man. What gives? Asking for a friend: Why oh why have there been no consequences for Donald Trump??

(13,849 posts)They say they don't see any reason he wanted the stuff except for reasons personal and not having to do with business.
They don't mention the $2B recently given from KSA to Kushner.
